ZED Certification

Zero Defect Zero Effect — Manufacturing Excellence

ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certification is a government-backed quality certification scheme for MSMEs, promoting defect-free manufacturing with zero adverse environmental impact. It carries financial incentives and positions your business as a quality-compliant supplier for government and export markets.

ZED Certification
Overview

What You Need to Know

What it is: ZED Certification is issued by the Quality Council of India (QCI) under the ZED Scheme of the Ministry of MSME. It rates and certifies MSMEs on multiple parameters of quality and environmental compliance, available at Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum levels.

Why it matters: ZED-certified MSMEs receive subsidies on the certification cost (higher subsidies for SC/ST and women-owned businesses and NE states), access to export incentives, preference in government procurement, and a credibility signal in supply chains and B2B relationships.
